Yeah, I know this is flippant, but I thought perhaps some levity was in order today.
If my H doesn't like my new haircut, I give up. My flaming queen hairdresser has done it again. I said "Softer, get the shape from the cut, not the perm." So he used a big roller, layered the hair, and WOW! I think it's great.
And people noticed I've lost weight too.
A nice morning (for a change). I feel a bit better today.

WAY TO GO!!!
I recently got in a snit over my hair and cut it off short again. The only reason I let it grow out was because H has always griped about my short, short hair. I left my hair longish on top, but cut the backs short. Sure, I have to roll it to get the look I want (hot roller curls fall out and curling iron takes forever in the morning), but it lasts a couple of days.
H said it looks good. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif) He also said he likes the color. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/grin.gif)
I'll bet you do look gorgeous. If he doesn't like it, he has no taste!

That is great. I bet you look wonderful. I think I am more happy that you feel wonderful. These H's must have lost parts of their brains, they are missing out. I hope today and everyday is a great one for you.
------------------
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
* Viki

Yeah, he liked it. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
First thing he said when I walked into the room (he was upstairs in the a/c and didn't hear me come in) was "I like it!"
A-freakin'-mazing.
But I still feel weird about him and about us. I feel he's a bit distant, but I can't tell if he really is, or if I'm just looking for things because I feel so drained and the ol' love bank is empty, empty, empty.
Wouldn't be the first time I've projected my own feelings onto someone else; I just haven't done it in THIS relationship before.
He may feel you are acting different, or some of your letter is sinking in.
Who knows?
So just be superficial today and bask in your gorgeousness!!

Dazed - I don't want to throw you into negative thinking, but analytical thinking, okay? - My question:
If your husband is having or had an emotional affair with the predator, do you think his mind is wandering about Saturday? Maybe he is a little fearful of your potential reactions as a result of Saturday, and maybe even wishing he hadn't asked you to come along? - and now feeling guilty about it? - like faith said, maybe the letter planted some seeds?
back to the subject...
Did your flaming hairdresser give you a quick lesson on how to style your hair?

TnT:

quote:
If your husband is having or had an emotional affair with the predator, do you think his mind is wandering about Saturday? I don't get it. Do you mean LAST Saturday, when he invited her to go with us on a day trip and we ended up not going because of his Dad, or THIS Saturday, when there's that party?
It seems odd that he hasn't mentioned it.
I'd like to believe that some of the letter sunk in even though he's defensive about it, but I have no way of knowing.
As far as doing my hair myself, it seems to just fall into place with minimal work. I will have to go more often for cuts in order to hold the shape, but that's OK, because then I won't let the color go so long (he does my color too).

Well, we are invited to a party at the home of one of "that crowd" this weekend. The host is a very nice guy; I liked him when I met him. But SHE will undoubtedly be there. (If she has a boyfriend, as H says, how come she doesn't bring him to parties?)
H forwarded me the E-mail with a message: "Wanna go?" I replied, "Sure. What do you want to bring?"
We're bringing meat and I'm making a coffee cake that's FABULOUS (show the b*tch I can bake from scratch, nyah nyah).
He hasn't mentioned the party since. I don't think he's even called the guy for directions to his house and he doesn't know where the guy lives.
Go figure.

Good for you on your attitude! I recently did the same thing - cut about 3 inches off my total length and got some layers. My H hasn't noticed yet. But what can I expect from him. He is oblivious. I think it look s great. A real ego booster when people you don't even know come up and say "you have great hair" I overheard a little kid say in the grocery store the other day, "Momma, she's pretty" Then turn around to see him pointing at me. Little kids melt my heart.
On the one hand, it hurt...on the other hand, I guess it was good that he felt he could TELL me something...and that I DID something positive in response.
It is, right?
